Before we get you into the gym and on the way to achieving your goals, we always start with a 1-to-1 consultation. This helps us to understand the goals you are looking to hit and the timeframe that you want to do it in. The information that we gain here will help us to design a training programme specific to you.
We then move onto a core strength check followed by a body composition analysis. This allows us to get an idea of the level of intensity that we should start your training at.
Next, we check your blood pressure, analyse your blood for cholesterol and glucose as well as asking you to undergo a flexibility assessment. We ask for all this as the more information that we have, the better the training programme our personal trainers will be able to provide.
As mentioned previously, our gym has a range of fantastic facilities available to our clients. If building muscle is your aim then you’ll be pleased to know that we have a wide variety of free weights as well as a state of the art resistance machine. For the warmer months, our outdoor calisthenics area is also available to provide a nice alternative to weights when it comes to strength training.
We are also fully kitted out with top quality cardio equipment if you would prefer your training to be less weight-based. This equipment includes a watt bike, rowing machine, treadmill and cross-trainer.
Our gym can also provide you with the necessities such as a shower, toilet and changing room as well as heating and an air conditioning unit. These basics will hopefully help to make your training with us as simple and stress free as possible.

Sometimes it is more enjoyable to train together rather than on your own. This is why we at David Jones Personal Training are happy to say that we offer group training sessions for up to a maximum of four people at a time. Training in a group can help to increase motivation so if you feel that you would benefit from this, please do give our group training service a go.
